Every Rotarian should know the deeper meaning of what is inside the Rotary!
Now that I am one of the Life Changing Presidents of D3810, little by little did I learn that the core of Rotary is about love and giving. I strongly believe that sharing is loving. If anyone is not capable of giving, why give? But if anyone has the capacity and resources to give and share, take the lead and the opportunity to be an inspiration and an instrument to influence others to serve and change lives.
We need to live to the fullest and part of this is by serving God, your family, your friends, your co-Rotarians, the poorest of the poor, your society, and your government. If one cannot stand to what principles he or she should be, how will he or she be able to serve and change lives? This is the question that is enlightening to all LCPs of D3810. But when you are truly a Rotarian, you should be the root and fruit of service to change lives.
This is to proudly tell everyone that RC Pasay Business District paid the Semi Annual SAR obligation, Yearly District and Calamity Fund, Tuloy sa Don Bosco Foundation and Philippine Rotary Magazine. And soon to accomplish is the 1000 USD for the Paul Harris and Every Rotarian Every Year.
The COVID-19 pandemic should not be a hindrance to continue serving. Believe that it will be gone soon while your help and impact to the community should remain forever. Together we will continue to survive because we have a good God that always loves and protects us.
Last October 5, we visited DS Edwin Seymour Chiu who handed us our District Grant check. We were more than happy that our Project GSP: Gulayan sa Paaralan sa EDSES Epifanio De Los Santos Elementary School will soon be completed thru this grant. This is why I encourage everybody that we should give to The Rotary Foundation because it is the lifeblood that supports our projects and noble causes.
As Proverbs 11:24-25 says, “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” Let’s then share our blessings for it will come back to us a hundred fold. Give till it hurts, it is in true giving that we are truly blessed. God loves a cheerful giver.
