The Rotary Club of Bagumbayan-Manila embraced the fact that up to now COVID-19 is first and foremost an over empowering humanitarian challenge worldwide. With the emergence of the new COVID-19 Delta Variant Strains had put thousands of front liners at risk particularly the Health Care Workers who are now faced with another surge of patients with COVID-19 infection in need of immediate medical attention.
While the government ramped up the vaccination program making it available to everyone to prevent people from getting severe side effects of the virus and to minimize hospitalization in order to avoid the collapse of our health care system, we at the Rotary Club of Bagumbayan-Manila addressed the crisis by providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the Health Care Workers protecting them against COVID-19 stationed at the different District Hospitals located in Manila last August 11 and 12.
With our Life Changing President Nick Lim together with the RCBM Troopers and our newest member City Councilor Uno Lim, we distributed the much needed PPE’S such as KN 95 Masks, surgical face masks, face shields, gallons of alcohol, and surgical gloves. We also provided diapers for infants. The hospitals in the City of Manila that benefited this endeavor are the following: Ospital Ng Maynila, Ospital Ng Gat Andres, Ospital Ng Sta. Ana, Ospital Ng Jose Abad Santos, Ospital Ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Tondo.
We are truly honored to have our very own City Councilor Engr. Uno Lim who joined the Rotary Club of Bagumbayan-Manila as our newest trooper and partner in achieving our goals and visions for the Rotary Year 2021-2022. We are re-affirming our solidarity with emphasis on the quality of members we have through the years with our continuing effort to encourage valuable individuals to join us. We shall continue to develop inspiring activities to focus on changing lives with the full support of our RCBM Troopers.
