Education nowadays is very much challenged due to the pandemic situation we are experiencing right now.

The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way teaching-learning happens around the globe where it is controllably undertaken using technology instead of face-to-face learning modality because of strict health protocols and conditions.

As an Educator who is not trained on how to use the computer has extreme difficulty on how to adapt to this kind of modality. Thanks to the Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila (PLM) that provided its faculty members to become knowledgeable of the online modality of teaching-learning processes.

Before the start of classes last school year 2020-2021, we underwent almost a month of WEBINARS using MS TEAMS OUTLOOK as our Learning Management System (LMS).  Thanks also to our College of Engineering and Technology (CET) faculty members in charge of our Information Communications Technology Office (ICTO) who painstakingly mentored us to adapt to the present learning modality.

Right now, we are about to commence the next school year 2021-2022, using the synchronous and synchronous approach in the teaching-learning process, I am very much grateful of my experience at PLM because it gives me a lot of ease with my involvement as Manila Area Correspondent of District 3810 GML. It is because the Rotary International District 3810 Officers meeting is always virtual as well as the Rotary Club of Intramuros weekly meetings.

Indeed, it is a milestone for me, because as a Rotarian turning seventy three (73) years old this month, I am still useful to serve our fellowmen.
