Last July the Rotary Foundation was able to give a Water Station to a community in Molino 6 from the Global Grant of The Rotary Foundation. The Water Station (Global Grant 2239209) aims to transform lives by building a water refilling station that will offer a source of living to the community residents. The water station is currently being constructed and hopefully will soon be operational to serve the community.
A District Grant was agreed during a meeting I had with the officers and members of Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Bacoor. The district grant worth 1000 USD will be used to construct a clean and accessible public toilet and hand washing area in Talaba 2. The said project aims to provide a public toilet and hand washing area that aims to promote cleanliness in the community. Cleanliness is important to avoid various diseases especially now that we are under a global pandemic because of a transmittable disease, Covid-19. The Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Bacoor sees the need for this kind of project that is why the club applied for the district grant from The Rotary Foundation and gladly it was approved by The Rotary Foundation.
Aside from the Public Toilet and Handwashing Area in Talaba 2, another Public Toilet and Handwashing Area is requested by Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Bacoor from The Rotary Foundation under Global Grant GG2230209 on July 21, 2021. The Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Bacoor officers held a meeting with the Punong Barangay of Barangay Zapote 1 to talk about the said project. The Global Grant for the Public Toilet and Handwashing Area was approved on August 2021 by the Rotary Foundation.
In my term as the Life Changing President of the Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Bacoor, these two Public Toilets and Handwashing Areas will be start of many Public Toilet and Handwashing Area in the City of Bacoor through the efforts of the club. I am fortunate to have the ability to help the different communities in the City of Bacoor with projects and programs just like the Public Toilets and Handwashing Areas that will be helpful to the residents of Bacoor.
